2018 Registration Dates
Swimming Instruction Registration
Swim Registration will be held at the Recreation Department Community Room,
One Merrymount Parkway.
Session One Registration will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Class Dates: Thursday, June 28, 2018 to Thursday, July 19, 2018.
Session Two Registration will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Class Dates: Monday, July 23, 2018 to Friday, August 10, 2018.
Session Three Registration will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Class Dates: Thursday, June 28, 2018 to Thursday, August 9, 2018.
In Session 3, classes for Level I/II, Level III, Level IV and Parent & Child will be taught between 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday and Thursday evenings. Parent & Child class is for children age 6 months to 5 years; parent must accompany child to each class.
The Quincy Recreation Department will not accept pre-registration or telephone registrations. Assured placement in the class, days, and times of choice should be done at the above dates and times. Post-registration is accepted on first come, space available basis. Lessons are free for Quincy Residents who have a current Recreation pool participation card. Children MUST be at least six years of age when lessons begin.
Testing for persons unsure of which class to register for will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm.
Testing is for swimmers unfamiliar with our program or who have had instruction during the winter.
Non-swimmers who have never taken lessons do not need to be tested and should register for Level I/II.
You can get a current Recreation pool participation card in the lobby of the pool during recreational swims and we will be selling them during registration.
Boating and Sailing Registration
Registration for the Ryan Boathouse Sailing and Boating Program will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Recreation Department Community Room, One Merrymount Parkway.
Registration will continue throughout the summer at the Ryan Boathouse as openings exist.
Rowing, Sailing and Canoeing classes are available Monday through Thursday for children ages 8 to 16 and will begin on Monday, July 2, 2018.
Children must pass a swim test at the Lincoln Hancock Pool in order to participate. The swim test will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Supervised Playground Program Registration
The Supervised Playground Program will begin on Monday, July 2, 2018. The program continues Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Closed on July 4, 2018) Registration is ongoing throughout the summer and is done at the playground of your choice.
Summer Clinics and Workshops
* MAIL-IN REGISTRATION BEGINS NOW. Registrations will be processed daily beginning Monday, May 14, 2018, lottery style. Please use one form for each child, photocopies accepted (both sides).

* WALK-IN REGISTRATION FOR ANY REMAINING SPACES BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2018 at 9 a.m. Walk-in registration will continue Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Quincy Recreation Department, One Merrymount Parkway, Quincy, MA 02170. THIS IS ALSO NON-RESIDENT REGISTRATION.
