The golf clinics focus on the beginner/novice players looking to build a solid foundation, and also the experienced player seeking improved performance.
We also focus on having fun, improving your game, and teaching sportsmanship.
General Information

EXPERIENCED: This activity is NOT for beginners/first-time golfers.
The Experienced Clinic will be geared toward teaching the rules of golf, proper etiquette, and fundamentals.
Participants must have their own set of golf clubs as well as golf balls and proper footwear (soft spikes only).
Golf attire also required.
NOVICE: The Novice Clinic will be geared toward teaching the rules of golf, proper etiquette and fundamentals. Participants in the novice clinic do not need any equipment. We will use the SNAG system and equipment. (SNAG stands for Starting New At Golf)
Pick-Up and Drop-off Information
- Pick-up and Drop-off can be done at the Furnance Brook Golf Club adjacent to Forbes Hill Park.
Note
- Initial registration is for Quincy residents only.
- Grades are as of September 2026.
- Refund Policy: No Refunds for Summer Programs After June 18, 2026. The Department will issue Full Payment Refunds, Less a 20% Administration Fee, to participants if the request to withdraw is made in writing and received by the Recreation Department on or before June 18, 2026. Payments are non-refundable after June 18, 2026, unless a documented medical excuse is provided.
