The Television Production Workshop introduces participants to a hands-on media production experience in a studio environment. It is a hands-on, fast-paced program that allows participants to work directly with professionals in the field. Participants produce, direct, light, shoot, and edit like the experts and will learn to utilize titles, graphics, music, voice-over, and live-action video. At the same time, they will be growing their own leadership, communication, project management, and creative design skills.
General Information
- The participants will be taught the basic techniques of television production including camera operation, editing, and scripting and studio instruction.
- Participants will produce a Program that will be cablecast on Quincy Access Television.

Pick-up and Drop-off Information
- Pick-up and Drop-off can be done in the Thomas Crane Public Library Central branch parking lot, located on Washington Street.

- Initial Registration is for Quincy residents only.
- Summer Workshop Grades are as of September 2024.
- Refund Policy: No Refunds for Summer Programs After June 15, 2024. The Department will issue Full Payment Refunds Less a 20% Administration Fee to participants if the request to withdraw is made in writing and is received by the Recreation Department Before June 15, 2024. Payment is NOT refundable after June 15, 2024, unless a documented medical excuse is provided to the Department.
