Varsity Basketball League for Middle School Grades 6 to 8 • Register • View Cart •

Quincy Recreation Athletic League’s mission is to provide positive recreational experiences with particular emphasis on participation, character and skill development, good sportsmanship, and having fun. Players will learn the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork.

The Varsity Basketball League will play games on Saturday mornings at North Quincy High School. 
Skills & Drills sessions on Tuesday evenings, and Team Practices on Thursday evenings will be held at Broad Meadows Middle School.

Important Notes for the Varsity Basketball League for Middle School Grades 6 to 8
  • Program Overview
  • Duration: December 7 to February 22
  • EVALUATION SESSION
  • Date: Saturday, December 7
  • Purpose: Player observation for Coaches and Staff to evaluate players for team formation (teams will be made the following week).
  • SCHEDULE
  • Games: Saturdays (no games on December 14 and December 28)
  • Make-up Date: March 1 (in case of snow)
  • Practice: One session during the week
  • Skills Session: Weekly

  • Saturday Games: North Quincy High School Gym, Hunt Street, Quincy, MA 02171
  • Practices & Skills Sessions: Broad Meadows Middle School Gym, 50 Calvin Road, Quincy, MA 02169
  • TEAM PRACTICE DETAILS
  • GIRLS (Grades 6-8):
  • Practice: Thursdays at Broad Meadows starting on December 12.
  • Games: Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. at North Quincy High School
  • BOYS (Grades 6-8):
  • Practice: Thursdays at Broad Meadows starting on December 12
  • Games: Saturdays at either 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. at North Quincy High School
  • SKILL SESSION TIMES: starting on December 10
  • Girls (Grades 6-8): Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Broad Meadows
  • Boys (Grades 6-8): Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Broad Meadows

  • UNIFORMS
  • New navy blue/gold uniforms are NOT included in the registration fee.
  • Cost: $30 (please add to your cart if needed).

Refund Policy
  • Full Payment Refunds: Available minus a 20% administration fee if a withdrawal request is submitted in writing before December 23, 2024.
  • After December 23: No refunds unless a documented medical excuse is provided.
  • Uniforms: No returns on uniforms.
