Therapeutic Recreation

Recreation programs and events for individuals of all ages with a disability, medical condition, or life challenge.

Therapeutic Recreation ensures that individuals of all abilities have the appropriate support to successfully participate in passive recreation programs.

What is Therapeutic Recreation?
  • Therapeutic Recreation uses leisure and recreation to either maintain or improve the quality of life for individuals of all abilities.
  • Therapeutic Recreation provides inclusive programs for individuals of all abilities.
  • Therapeutic Recreation Programs are typically smaller in size with higher staff supports, and are designed to be an introduction to the activity.

Drop-off and Pick-up Information
  • Drop-off and Pick-up will be at the North Quincy High School Cafeteria Entrance.
  • The Cafeteria entrance is at the rear of the school on Hunt Street, through the 8 glass doors located next to the crosswalk.
