Adult + Family Boating
Enjoy a day on the water with family and friends at the William F. Ryan Boating & Sailing Facility on Black’s Creek at Pageant Field. Our Adult + Family Boating program provides Quincy residents with the opportunity to explore the beautiful creeks, marshes, and lagoon areas by kayak, canoe, or sailboat in a safe and welcoming environment.
Families with experienced boaters are invited to use our fleet of recreational watercraft to enjoy independent boating during designated Adult + Family Boating hours. Whether you are looking for a relaxing paddle through the lagoon or an afternoon of sailing, this program offers a unique way to experience Quincy’s waterfront.
Participants may choose from a variety of available watercraft, including: Kayaks, Canoes, and Sailboats (for experienced sailors)
All participants must follow facility safety rules and wear a properly fitted life jacket at all times while on the water. Recreation Department staff will be on-site to assist with equipment distribution, safety procedures, and waterfront supervision; however, this is not an instructional program. Participants are expected to have the necessary boating skills to operate their chosen watercraft safely and independently.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian throughout their visit. Adults are responsible for the supervision and conduct of all children in their group.
Please Note:
**All participants are required to complete a Boating & Sailing Waiver and Release of Liability Form prior to participation.
**Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times while on the water.
**Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
**Program operations are subject to weather, water, and safety conditions.
**During Family Boating hours, children must be accompanied by an adult.
